Global Outreach Day - June 2, 2012
Evangelist Werner Nachtigal is organizing an evangelistic outreach called Global Outreach Day which will take place on June 2nd, 2012. He is hoping to make it a global event (220+ countries) encouraging a grassroots approach to sharing the Gospel. By partnering with churches and large organizations/networks (i.e. Campus Crusade, Call to All, YWAM), he wants to encourage all Christians to share their faith with their neighbour, friend and anyone they encounter.
Their hope is to mobilize at least 1 million people in sharing their faith on the same day (2nd June) and he wants to make the Alpha course one of their main follow-ups.
We encourage churches in Canada to consider this in your scheduling of 2012 Alpha courses. You may want to add an extra Alpha course during the summer months as seekers will be visiting the www.alphacanada.org website to find Alpha courses near them.
This is an exciting initiative that will boost Alpha’s profile and we hope it will generate many more guests next year.
