5th Annual Prayer Vigil for the Canadian Forces - Sat, Jan 29th

The Military Christian Fellowship of Canada and the National House of Prayer invite all Canadians to stand together in prayer across the country this Saturday, January 29th for the 5th Annual National Prayer Vigil for the Canadian Forces.

This is not a political event.

Since 2001, the men and women of the Canadian Forces have been at war. They have offered themselves in the service of their country, at the direction of our leaders, in Afghanistan and around the world.  More than 150 men and women have given their lives, and many more have come home grievously injured. They need our prayer.

This Saturday, people will gather in their homes, at churches, armouries or wherever decided, to lift up our military and their families in prayer. In Ottawa, people will gather to pray in front of the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill at 4 pm EST.

If your group will gather to pray, please send a brief email to the Military Christian Fellowship regarding your event (for email: click here).

MCF's List of prayer items for the Prayer Vigil
:
1.  Pray for the progression of the plan for Canadian soldiers to leave the South of Afghanistan.  Canada has been involved in the reconstruction of the Dhala Dam (Dhala means Harvest) that would allow Afghanistan to have water that would bring a harvest of produce to feed their nation rather than poppies that need very little water.  We have also been involved in reconstructing their main road and in rebuilding 50 schools that allow children to attend school.  Please pray that all that was reconstructed will be protected from attacks of the enemy and that the Afghani people will be able to govern their own country and enjoy peace and security.

2.  Pray that the Canadian Forces will be effective in training the Afghanis. That the Canadian soldiers will understand what they have to do and would not feel they are running away before the job is ended.  Pray that Canada will finish its mission well.

3. Pray for the current rotation of the 22nd Regiment based in Valcartier, Quebec (they are called the Van Doos).

4. Pray for strength and courage in those who command troops at all levels, pray for a Joshua type of anointing on all our troops.  Joshua 1:6; be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.

To get involved or for more information, please email the Canadian Director of Alpha for the Military, Daniel Bastien.

This is a great article, write their own style,
very well written. Have a good article will let
you adjust the mood of the best, everyone wants
their own articles to write their own characteristics,
these are very important, we each have their own
characteristics, style of writing is different.
Each article will express their own meaning,
of course, this is correct, the article makes
us more diverse.
